Rosayn Knudsen died peacefully with her family present at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh on January 14th, 2019. She was born on September 22nd, 1941 in Oshkosh to the late Herb and Jo Ilk. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish in Oshkosh. She married Gordon Knudsen on August 11, 1967 in Oshkosh where they lived until 1975, moved to Winneconne until 1997, and then moved back to Oshkosh. She enjoyed seeing her twin grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She loved watching their games and always sent cards; never missing a birthday or holiday. She enjoyed gambling trips to Vegas and Tunica and loved making soup and cookies. She worked at Hoffmasters, Aurora Candler’s, Blended Waxes, and them part time at Oaks Candy retiring in 2004. Rosayn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gordon Knudsen; Son, Reno (Laura) Knudsen, and their children, Zoey and Wyatt; sisters, Pat (Leonard) Madel, Priscilla Gluth; brother, Herb (Marcia) Ilk; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rosayn was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Steve Gluth and niece, Jenny Madel. Per Rosayn’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. The family wishes to say a special thank you to Terri, The nurse in ICU at Aurora and Brittney from hospice for their special care.
A sister is a person that is always there for you. Whether its good or bad times, she’s there. She loves you for what you are, not for what you could or should be, she’s there. Rosayn will be greatly missed.
