Michael F. Scott, age 79 of Oshkosh, passed away at Lakepoint Villa on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. He was born on August 30, 1941 to the late Eugene and Elaine (Yohann) Scott.
Michael graduated in 1959 from St. Mary’s High School in Fond du Lac. At 17 years old, he joined the United States Navy and served from 1959-1962. After his military service, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Education degree. Michael taught 5th grade at Bessie Allen Elementary, in North Fond du Lac. Later he went on to lead the Fond du Lac County’s Elderly Nutrition program and Senior Services, where he retired in 1999.
Beginning very early on, Michael was a talented athlete. He was a basketball star throughout high school. An avid sportsman and fan, he played competitive tennis, while active in softball, golf, and swimming. He had a love for the arts, especially opera, foreign films, and music. Above everything, was a dedicated father, partner, and friend.
He is lovingly survived by his significant other of 40 years, Lou Schultz-Andrews; daughters, Kristin (Rob Bielfeldt) Scott and Amy (Jana Marcus) Scott; step-children, Michele (Jeff) Beck, Jeffrey Andrews, Daniel Andrews, and Pamela (Tad Seder) Andrews; grandchildren, Joshua Scott, Andrew Jones, Emma Bielfeldt, Ondrea Beck, Ty ( Heidi) Beck, Nathaniel Andrews, Garrett Andrews, Lily Andrews, and Helen Andrews; sisters, Mary and Peggy Scott; daughter-in-law, Amy Scott-Egerbrecht; brother-in-law, Paul Padzuiakas.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his son, Thomas J. Scott; brother, Thomas E. Scott; sister, Ann Padzuiakas; grandson, Andrew Bielfeldt.
Per Michael’s wishes, no services will take place.
