Marian Lorraine Peppler, age 90 passed away on May 26, 2020 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born on May 2, 1930 in Berlin, WI to the late John and Clara (Neitzke) Ream. Marian married Emanuel “Manny” Peppler on October 2, 1954.
Marian worked as a secretary in her earlier years, became a stay at home mom and eventually went back to work as a teacher’s aide at Jefferson and Smith Elementary Schools. She was a member of Immanual Lutheran Church where she volunteered serving her Lord on many committees including the Ladies Guild, Alter guild, Counting team, funeral and Christmas decorating chairperson to name a few. She also volunteered her time at the Aurora Medical Center gift shop. Marian enjoyed years of fun and spending time with her family at Little Silver Lake in Wild Rose during the summer. She loved her Red Hat and card club friends. Lastly, she enjoyed taking scenic drives, gardening, antiquing, and always loved a “good rummage sale”.
Marian is survived by her daughters, Jill (Philip) Reichenberger and Julie (Gary) Ader; grandchildren, Joshua (Jayme) Reichenberger, Jenna (Tyler Radl) Wanezek, Natasha (Zach) Wege and Chad (Sarah) Ader; great grandchildren, Lucie, Clara, Adah, Celia, Kaleb, Ella, Eli, Belle and Hazel. She is further survived by her brother-in-law Reuben (Judi) Peppler, sister-in-law, Lea (Jack) Kolterjahn and numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel in 2002, her sister Ruth Ream, Brother and Sister-in-laws, Eleanor Berndt, Adolph (Katie) Zitzer, Fritz (Eileen) Zitzer, William (Betty) Peppler, Alex (Katherine) Peppler, Edwin (Donna) Peppler, Dave (Marge) Peppler, Ruth (George) Culver, Katherine (James) Martell, Lydia Tobin.
Marian’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of Aurora Medical Center. A very special thank you to Evergreen Retirement Community for the kind and exceptional care provided to our mom and to all of those who kept her in their thoughts and prayers.
A private family service and burial will be held immediately with a public memorial service to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
